Edwards Deming was an American engineer, statistician, professor, author and management consultant whose life spanned most of the 20th century. He has been credited with Japan’s post-war recovery in the 1950’s leading to Japan becoming the second largest economy in the world, accomplished by improving quality using Deming’s principles.
